  • Double Vertical

Double Vertical Scissor Lift Platforms are ideal for use in a loading bay or as a lifting table between different floors because of the high stroke heights available.

Lifts UK low closed scissor lift tables have a low closed height of only 80 mm, meaning that no pit is required. We produce a low profile lift table with the functionality level equivalent to that of a conventional lift table.

  • Single

    Single

Static Single Scissor Lifts are ideal for machine feeding, palletising, stacking, packing, use in a loading bay or even as a height adjustable work platform.

About Scissor Lifts

Lifts UK scissor type lift tables are engineered products, custom made to order in a purpose built factory that is dedicated to the design and manufacture of scissor lift tables. We manufacture to the highest standards expected by industry sectors such as aero-space, food, human health, nuclear, off-shore, railways and auto-motive manufacture. Lifts UK scissor lifting tables are mostly constructed to conform to European Standards, including the Machinery Directive and in particular BS EN 1570 ‘Code of Practice for the Safety requirements for lifting tables’. A Lifts UK Director is a member of a National standards advisory panel. PowerLifts will also manufacture in various grades of stainless steel and galvanised carbon steel, or customer choice combinations.

Scissor lift tables are also known as platform lifts, lifting platforms, working platforms or scissor lifts. Lifts UK scissor lift tables differ from MEWPs (Mobile Elevating Work Platforms) in that they generally lift large loads (upto 100 tonnes) through relatively short distances – typically up to 3 metres, more in special cases. Lifts UK have supplied lifts upto 17 metres long. MEWPs tend to lift small loads – 2 or 3 men -upto 500kgs through higher distances for access purposes. Scissor lift tables from Lifts UK are supplied with the EU CE mark as a Certificate of Conformity to the Machinery Directive or with the EU Declaration of Incorporation for clients who will be integrating a PowerLift lift table within a system or machine.

Having manufactured over 100,000 units since the 1970’s Lifts UK has an extensive range of standard and bespoke lift tables, most of which can be modified to meet customer specific needs.

Lifts UK offer their lift tables with a wide range of optional features to suit customer needs. Some of the more common extra requirements include smooth or slip resisting tear pattern deck plates, access hatches over power packs and cylinders, lifting eye bolts, auto-rising wheel / roll-off stops coming out of the platform, handrails, barriers and gates, goal posts, loading flaps, bridge plates and turn-tables. Galvanised mesh curtains, pvc bellows guards and roller blinds can be fitted under lifts to restrict ingress to the under sides. Lifts can be fitted onto castors, wheels or pallet style base-frames for easier manoeuvrability.

Usually the scissor lift tables are powered by electro-hydraulic power packs, 3 phase, single phase, 12 and 24 volts D.C. In special circumstances some Lifts UK scissor lift tables can be actuated by air motors, air bags, push / rigid chain, trapezoidal thread, spindle or belt drives.
